Today I am going to say some things to you that will make many of my family and friends stop reading this blog for good. In fact they may never speak to me again. I will be sorry if that happens, because I believe with all my heart that they are misguided, and mislead, by people that are not looking out for their best interests.
They have, as many other Americans have also, taken a drink from the Kool-Aid of the dumbest President we've ever had, and have been reinforced by a conservative media, that for some reason, believes it is in their best interest to spread lies, conspiracies, and falsehoods, instead of the actual truth.
I hear too many people express outrage at, what they are being told, is the Democrats plan to Socialize this country. Yet many of you that believe this have no idea what Socialism is. Here is a refresher for you.
Socialism: a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
I would ask that those of you that think this is the Democrats plan, to give me just one example of anything that they have talked about that would direct you to this line of thinking. You can't because they aren't talking about this no matter how many times the GOP or conservative media says they are.
Now, lets show you another form of government and see if you recognize this one.
Authoritarianism: a form of government characterized by the rejection of political plurality, the use of a strong central power to preserve the political status quo, and reductions in the rule of law, separation of powers, and democratic voting.
Hmm? That sounds familiar doesn't it Republicans? One more for you.
Democracy: a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.
So, to recap. The Democrats are not advocating socialism, the Republicans are becoming an authoritarian party, and our democracy is under attack. These are the truths we live with, not the crap being fed to half this country by people that only want to hold on to whatever power they have.
Here is where I will lose those of you that don't want to hear the truth. I hope you will actually listen to what I am going to tell you, but I understand if you are so brainwashed by what you've been hearing that you can't accept reality.
If you believe elections are rigged, against any one person or party, you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you think that audits and voter suppression will get more of your people elected, you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you think the former President was a great President, then you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you think the current President is not the legitimate President, you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you think the Covid vaccine is more dangerous than the virus itself, you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you think there is widespread voter fraud, and elections can't be considered legitimate anymore, you need to get your head out of your ass and come back to earth one. You are being played for an idiot.
If you don't stand up and tell these states, and federal officials, to stop messing with our Democracy, then you are no better than they are and you are being played for an idiot.
