As we begin our first holiday weekend of the summer, it is painfully clear that we have some gigantic problems in this country. Never before, in my lifetime, can I remember a fracture between political parties, people, and reality like we have in this country today. This is not a tiny separation, this is a gaping hole on par with the Grand Canyon.
Let me share some polling numbers released this week to underscore what I'm saying. All this information comes from reputable polling companies.
64% of democrats and 64% of republicans say that political division is the major threat to the USA. (This is about the only thing we agree on right now)
55% of all Americans say that the events of January 6th will never be forgotten.
39% of all Americans say that we should just move on from January 6th.
74% of republicans say that there is too much being made of the events of January 6th.
18% of republicans say the events of January 6th was an attack on democracy.
54% of republicans say January 6th was staged by violent left wing radicals.
56% of republicans believe the 2020 election results were due to illegal votes or rigging.
60% of republicans believe the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump.
25% of Americans say the 2020 election was rigged.
30% of Americans say the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.
23% of republicans believe that Q-Anon is real, and that the national media, and financial companies, are led by Satan worshiping pedophiles, running a global child sex trafficking operation.
97% of republicans in the congress and senate do not want to investigate the cause of the January 6th insurrection, or pass an infrastructure bill, or pass a bill returning voting rights to all Americans.
So, let me help clear up some things for those of you who may be confused out there.
-Donald Trump lost the 2020 election in a fair and legal election. There was zero voter fraud.
-Q-Anon is not real. It is a group farce meant to pit Americans against each other.
-While there may be some bad people in the media, and financial institutions, there is not any widespread scheme to traffic children into sex slavery.
-Getting a vaccine, of any kind, will not cause anyone to get Autism.
-The January 6th insurrection was caused by Donald Trump firing up his followers and they killed at least five people at the Capitol.
Now, let's talk about what the Congress, Senate, and Department of Justice should be working on.
First. I want to know, in detail, what Putin and Trump discussed, not related to matters of the US government, on each of their little get togethers. Specifically, I want the one American interpreter present to reveal what she heard, and/or wrote down, while they spoke. I also want to know what Putin has on Trump that got him to follow his orders for four years.
Additionally, I want to know who else Putin has something on that may have affected the running of our country. I also, want to know how much money, we the American taxpayers, put in the Trump family pockets over the past four years. Finally, which Senators and Congress members does Putin control?
Second. I want to know who in Congress helped the rioters on January 6th. Then I want them fired and prosecuted. I want the DOJ to actively pursue a case against Trump for his role in this mess too.
I also want the DOJ to step up their investigations, and lawsuits, into every state that has allowed a third party auditor to touch even one ballot of the 2020 election. It is illegal and the DOJ needs to respond. They also need to start filing lawsuits against any state that has, or is about to, roll back voting rights for any American. We should be making it easier to vote, not harder. Finally, however you feel about this topic, the fact is that abortion is a right to anyone in this country. States that have made it harder, or impossible, for women to get one should be prosecuted severely.
Lastly. I want the federal government to make it a law that anyone who chooses to not get a vaccine for Covid, or any other communicable disease, is not allowed to leave their house for any reason. Not for work, not for school, and not for church. It is your right to not get one and it is my right to keep you away from me.
There you have it, truth. Not some wacko TV personality truth, not some wacko politician truth. Actual honest to goodness facts and what the next steps need to be for America to move forward safely. I know many of you will not agree with me on these facts and the simple truth is that you are just wrong.
